family: John, Kim & Emma

I had the pleasure of spending the morning with a very old and dear friend of mine. Kimmy and I used to cheer for the same time way back when...NOT THAT LONG AGO. ;) Thanks to the powers of Facebook, we found each other! Thanks FB. Kimmy and her beautiful family, now Texans, visits once a year and i'm blessed to be able to see her at least one time during her visit. This year, she asked me to do her family portraits, honored, i said DUH.

We visited for a couple of hours and shot at a beautiful retirement resort in San Jose. The views and landscape were awesome, perfect for Kimmy her and fam. After the session, we did a little cheer for old time's sake...HAHA...i'm kidding.

John, Kimmy & Emma: thank you so much for giving me the honor of capturing you. You guys are loved, by me especially. Come back and visit soon...and make sure, Kim, we set a date. =) Love yous!

love: lea + herman [part 1]

Part one? Yes, part one (explanation later)

I met these two about 2 months ago and at that first meeting, I knew they'd be a fun a session. Such a cute couple, so in love and soooo ready to tie the knot. And i'm soooo ready to see all of their plans unfold. We spent a little less than an hour together, and most of that time were spent with constant laughs...mostly laughing at each other. In reality, Herman...TOTALLY A NATURAL. Should've been a model...lol.

Here's the explanation part: Its not San Francisco without fog, but the fog we experienced was wet and misty, slightly shocking considering we're in the Summer season. I think it actually started to rain a little. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE SF weather, but sometimes, especially session times - i'd just like a smidge of sunlight and not so much condensation. So, the 3 of us made a decision to cut our session short and postpone for more sun and less moisture.

Stay tuned for Part 2...it'll be beautiful. I'm going to make them jump. =P

Lea & Herman...I CAN'T WAIT...FOR SOME JUMPING ACTION! I'm telling you...SEATLE DAY TRIP! =)

events: a marketer & a scientist...

A political one. =)

My sissy and my Fluffy (aka her boyfriend) made us proud last month, grad-you-mating (per my niece's version of the word) from San Jose State University. Two days of grad-you-may-shun (again, niece's version) ceremonies, a TON o' lei's, late night Spaghetti Factory dinner and the proud moments we've had this year, sums up the festivities to close the month of May. Happy times, happy times.

Now, these two college grads can rest and relax before the sissy heads to law school - lol, and she was so excited that her time with teachers, classrooms and books were over and done with. Until...I rained on her parade and reminded her that she has another 3 years left. LOL! Yeah...i'm mean - SO...call it the privies of being the older sister. HA!

Fluffy/Bob: We're SOOOO PROUD OF YOU! When you guys walked accross that stage and picked up your blank piece of paper pretending to be a diploma, I teared. Fogged up the glass for a bit. Kuya B and I are very very proud of your huge accomplishment. And CAN'T WAIT for you two to get jobs and Nikki grad-you-mates from law school so we can get our monthly allowance. Ahem, i mean - we can't wait to see what the future has in store for you guys. ;) We love you tons and tons.

Amazing how alike they are

College of Business is HUGE business at SJSU, which required a much HUGE-ER venue.

Congrats on your Grad-you-may-shun!

PS. Although i wasn't at the ceremony or at the grad party (worst BFFr ever), I want to squeeze in a special congratulations to the BFFr, Janice. Graduating...YET AGAIN, with another Bachelors - this time...a Nursing one. And she's still not done. Crazy girl. Jan - I LOVE YOU...I couldn't be prouder. I owe you a GinJay spa day...making plans. Damn, i'm lucky - I have the hooks on Marketing, a lawyer at my fingertips and a nurse to take care of me - which is a HUGE benefit for sicky me. LOL!

boudoir: Arlynn

A beautiful boudoir sesh with Arlynn. I had a blast spending the morning with her at a swanky hotel in San Francisco. We were lucky to be at the hotel at a time when there weren't too many guests around, we were able to sneak into the hallway and the fire escape (after some convincing and a promise to be on high alert in case someone came in). =) A fun time with a beautiful woman, who by the way is a SUPER marathoner! See medals below...inspirational.

Arlynn - I hope the hubs loves your surprise. He's a lucky man.

events: Mama Sol & Six Fabulous Decades

A beautiful surprise birthday, celebrated in a gorgeous venue with good people and lots of fine wine. The location was breathtaking, located on a mountain top in Woodside, complete with stunning views of the Peninsula. The creative minds of one of my favorite wedding and event planners, Pili Lani Creations, did a WONDERFUL JOB! The decor was fabulous!!! From the invites, to the table details...the cake stand alone was jaw dropping. The favors, red velvet cake pops from Happy Tummy Catering...deeeeelicious. No detail was spared to ensure Mama Sol had a FAB party to celebrate 60 FAB years.

I'm sitting here trying to figure out the best way I could put the event in words. So here it is...WINE. Why? This celebration was classy, elegant, bubbly and definitely a blast. It was a lovely night, with lovely people and a lovely celebrant.

Happy Birthday Mama Sol! Wishing you many more beautiful & blsessed years to come and many more grandchildren (hee hee...).

BONUS...
His face is just hilarious...and his expression pretty much looked like this in almost all pictures with him included. LOL! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these two. I can't begin to express how thankful I am to have them in my life and memories. And last month, they made me the happiest person ever with the best news ever. I can't wait till October. 10/27 and SOMEONE gets an iPad. LOL! Look out for a special session with these two in the fall. =) YEEEEEE!
